Melly Guard — AI-Powered Fraud Detection & Monitoring

Overview

Melly Guard is an AI-driven fraud monitoring and detection tool used by several banks in Nigeria. It provides real-time detection across multiple channels, monitors transactions for AML/CTF risks, offers explainable AI outputs for regulatory acceptance, and automates compliance workflows to reduce operational costs. I worked across the full stack, building the Next.js frontend, Node.js and Python backend services, containerizing everything with Docker, and managing deployments with Kubernetes on AWS. This project required high performance, reliability, and seamless integration with critical banking systems.

Challenges
